Abstract
Electronic Banking refers to the use of
technology which enables the customers to
perform banking transactions electronically
without visiting a bank personally.
The present study analyzes the factors that
influence the customers to adopt e-banking
facilities towards public and private
sector banks in Coimbatore. A research
study was conducted with the sample of
125 e-Banking customers from public sector
banks and 125 e-customers from private
sector banks. The objective of the study is
to find out the very important factors
influencing the customers to adopt
e-banking facilities than the traditional
banking facilities. To achieve the research
objectives, a research methodology was
framed. The research design is descriptive
in nature. The data was analyzed by
applying the relevant statistical tools like
percentile, factor analysis, ranking
techniques and mean score. The present
study concluded that the speed and regular
connectivity influence the public sector
bank customers to use e-banking facilities
rather than the traditional one. From the *
private sector bank 24 X 7 and convenience
and comfort in usage motivates the
customers to adopt e-banking facilities
compared to the traditional banking
practices. Thus it provides enormous
benefits to customers in terms of speed,
reliability and convenience either through
internet, mobile, telephone or through other
electronic delivery channels. E-banking
enables the banks to render efficient banking
services supporting Commerce Industry,
Business and Customers. It helps in the
faster growth of our economy. E-banking
contributes to the economic development of
our nation.
