    Consumer Behaviour Towards the Purchase of Laptops

    Laptop industry in India is well established and is flourishing lastly. There are various leading brands. A consumer considers many aspects, before buying a laptop. An analysis of the factors influencing the consumer's purchase decision of laptops throws light on their preferences and requirements. This will help the laptop marketers to understand the consumer preferences and to increase their market share. Hence a detailed research study has been conducted on the factors influencing consumers purchase decision of laptops in Coimbatore during 2013. The objective is to find out the factors that influence the purchase of branded laptops and offer suggestions. A sample of 300 laptop customers are selected in Coimbatore. The primary and secondary data were collected. The data was analysed with relevant statistical tools like factor analysis, chi-square test and ranking technique. This study presents practical suggestions to improve laptop features that will help laptop manufacturers to develop brand management strategies and to enhance their sales. The growing laptop industry contributes significantly our economy by supporting, efficiently educational and industrial sectors.

    India‘s developing economy notifies the positive impact of this technology and continuously moving towards growth. Initially laptop market started functioning as a niche market but now it has various market segmentations as per their market demqnd. India is the third fastest growing laptop market. The research design adopted in this study is bofh descriptive and analytical in nature. Commercially vibrant and Industrially advanced Coimbatore 'is an educational hub enriched with humpty number of Educational Institutions and computer learning centers - Universities, Colleges and Schools. This research study area is suitable to find out the laptops brand preference. The customers o f Dell, Hp/Compaq, Sony, Samsung and Lenovo laptop brands in Coimbatore are samples selected for this study. A sample of 300 respondents was selected. The purposive sampling technique is used. The study covered a period is six months from .January 2013-June2013.

    The steel sector is one o f the sectors playing most crucial role in the development o f a nation and is considered as the backbone o f civilization. The Indian steel industry has entered a new development stage since 2007-2008 and is riding on the resurgent economy and the growing demand for steel. India's 33 percent growth in steel production in the last five years was second only to China among the top five steel producing nations (World Steel Association - WSA). The research study focuses on evaluating the determinants and the combination o f capital structure o f selected steel companies in India for a period of 10 years from 2004-2005 to 2013-2014 to find out the optimum capital structure to maximize profits in the steel industry in India. The correlation analysis and multiple regres.sion analysis methods were adopted to carry out the study.

    Factors Influencing the Bank Customers to Adopt E-Banking Facilities

    Electronic Banking refers to the use of technology which enables the customers to perform banking transactions electronically without visiting a bank personally. The present study analyzes the factors that influence the customers to adopt e-banking facilities towards public and private sector banks in Coimbatore. A research study was conducted with the sample of 125 e-Banking customers from public sector banks and 125 e-customers from private sector banks. The objective of the study is to find out the very important factors influencing the customers to adopt e-banking facilities than the traditional banking facilities. To achieve the research objectives, a research methodology was framed. The research design is descriptive in nature. The data was analyzed by applying the relevant statistical tools like percentile, factor analysis, ranking techniques and mean score. The present study concluded that the speed and regular connectivity influence the public sector bank customers to use e-banking facilities rather than the traditional one. From the * private sector bank 24 X 7 and convenience and comfort in usage motivates the customers to adopt e-banking facilities compared to the traditional banking practices. Thus it provides enormous benefits to customers in terms of speed, reliability and convenience either through internet, mobile, telephone or through other electronic delivery channels. E-banking enables the banks to render efficient banking services supporting Commerce Industry, Business and Customers. It helps in the faster growth of our economy. E-banking contributes to the economic development of our nation.
