Nanosized ceria doped zirconia solid solution is the material of attraction for the intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cell. A systematic study has been carried out on Cei.xZrx02 with the composition of x = 0.2, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.8 by co-precipitation method. Structural elucidations were made through XRD to ascertain the attainment of phase and nano-crystallite size. The electrical properties of Cei.xZrx02, employing ac impedance spectroscopy, show that the size dependence brings change in transport property. The reduction in size brings higher grain boundary impedance which is a contrary behavior observed in nanosized particles.en_US
