The study was conductec ; on 600adolescents age group o f 7 5- 7 7 residing and swdying in class IX, ^ and XI of two government and two private higher secondary schools in f rural and urban areas in Coimbatore district Tamilnadu. Simple random sampling technique was used to select the sample of one hundred one f fifty students from each school. Survey based method and self-constructed questionnaire was used to collect the data. The main result from the t present study Is that theadolescentsof urban areas were more positively influenced by Internet and developed more social skills than adolescent!
