A heterogeneous precipitates ha\e been as ion caaiers for the preparation of Na (I) scicetise membrane sensor. The electrodes give near nemstian responses in linear concentration range of IM to 1x10'"M with detection limits ofthe order of 10'\\1. The stable potent iometric signals are obtained with in a short time period of 3 minutes. The effect of pH, and the effect of medium have been studied found to give a better response. Selectively coefficient values have been evaluated using fixed interference method. The sensors have also been as an indicator electrode in commercially available products.en_US
