Present study involved the synthesis of o-chlorophenyl-2-iinida7oIine (OCP21) and its inhibition behaviour on mild steel corrosion in sulphuric acid and hydrochloric acid media, using weight loss method and electrochemical method,l! The results of weight loss method • revealed that the inhibitor show's a maxiinum efficiency of 84.55 % in H;S04 at 200 ppm and 91.42i% in HCl medium at 120 ppm of I concentration. Thennodynamic parameters indicated physisorption mode of adsorption of o-chlorophenyI-2-imidazoIine follows Langmuir I tuid Temkin adsoiption isotherms. Potentiodynamic polarization and impedance studies were condueted toinve'stigate the mechanism Pf the inhibition and the piesent system follows mixed mode of inhibition.en_US
