Item Going Green with loT for Smart World - An Overview(2016) Elizabeth Shanthi, ISmart world is planned as an epoch in which objects (e.g., watches, mobile phones, computers, cars, buses and trains) can ii^ ed ia te ly and intelligently serve people in a coefficient maimer. Internet of things links up everything in the smart world. Internet of things allows objects to be sensed and controlled remotely across exiting network infrastructure, creating opportunities for more-direct integration between the physical world and computer -based systems, and resulting in improved efficiency, accuracy and economic benefits. Each thing is exclusively different through its embedded computing system but is able to interoperate within the surviving internet infrastructure. Today’s earth encloses a smart reminder that the internet of things can be made green- and green technology can be maximized with smart use of loT. loT implement the collection of data at finer levels of details, and deeper analysis of that data, business and individuals can drive bigger results from smaller changes to their immediate environment. Internet of things is that things can correspond to each other without human with each other and, helps to save energy with user. This permits peoples and things to be connected Anytime, Anyplace, with anything and anyone, ideally using any path/network and any service. Green loT forecast to familiarize changes in our daily life and would help realizing the vision of “Green ambient intelligence”.Item Research C hallenges in Cloud Databases(2014) Elizabeth Shanthi, ICloud computing is the buzz word of today's IT industry. Databases and storage are an integral part of cloud computing. Cloud computing is slowly pushing out the traditional database technologies which ruled the FT industry for decades, as these technologies is findia.g it to difficult to cope with the expectation of the cloud technology. The traditiorud Relational ModeKRDBMS) can no longer be the "One Size fits all" solution because of the various limitations when the databases is moved to the cloud. "Traditional database systems do not have the scale, flexibility and power to store, process, analyze, and mine huge volumes of diverse and distributed data in real time. Due to this the FT industry came with many NoSQL (Not Only SQL) and NewSQL databases with various needs in mind. As data variety, velocity)~veracity, and volume~ are fast-growing, different types of database systems such as graph, columnar, text, key-value, etc. (all these are termed as NoSQL) are being explored. Hadoop is a new method for parallel data crunching. NoSQL and Hadoop need a better infrastructure, which is being offered by cloud infrastructure. That is why cloud databases have become hugely popular and pervasive. This paper aims in discussing the various advancements in the recent past in cloud databases and tries to find out the various alternatives available in cloud computing with regard to cloud databases.Item Text Mining and Visualization Techniques - A Survey(2015) Elizabeth Shanthi, IData mining is the process of extracting hidden patterns from structured data. Text mining is an ongoing trend and has a wide range of applications where a huge volume of data is considered. The growing amount of data has lead to the concept of Big data. Data management is important in all fields for understanding the past, experimenting the present and for predicting the future. Text is the major component of all data and is generated everywhere and Knowledge Discovery is an interesting phenomenon. Text mining has a variety of applications and the techniques applied also vary with respect to them. Text mining algorithms play a vital role in providing a structured framework. Recent text visualization tools and techniques are to be reviewed in this paper. This paper analyses various state of the art algorithm tools and techniques for text mining and text visualization along with the commonly used dataset and their applications in various fields.
