Hence there is a need to ensure that all the teachers should understand the development of children, their needs and behaviour. With this background the investigator has taken up this study tp evaluate the understanding of the teachers on the nature of the children, total growth and development of children, personality skills, disciplinary characteristics, and counselling children in the school. The investigator selected 100 teachers from 10 districts of rural Tamilnadu.
